Kontio transfers address books between iPhone and Android, backs up and restores contacts, and helps organize records. With your permission it reads accessible contact fields, including names, numbers, email addresses, photos, postal addresses and other details. Availability of notes and individual fields depends on the operating system and permissions.

Contacts are processed on your device. Settings, imported-record archives and recovery data for supported operations are stored locally. The publisher does not operate a backend to store your address book. Uninstalling the app may remove its local archives; export any backups you need first.

When you choose export or sharing, CSV/vCard files may contain full contact records, photos, notes and additional fields. You choose the destination and recipient. Export files are not separately password-protected.

Google Drive is optional. Local import/export does not require Google sign-in. If you connect Google Drive and initiate backup or restore, files are transferred directly to Google in your own account using HTTPS. The drive.file scope covers files created or opened by this app. Google account details support sign-in and display of the connected account. Google handles your Google password. You may sign out in the app and revoke access in your Google account settings. Google's services are also governed by https://policies.google.com/privacy.

This release has no ads or in-app purchases. The publisher does not use contact records for advertising profiles or AI training. Apple, Google and system SDKs may process information for authentication, app distribution, security and diagnostics under their own policies and user settings; this policy is not a claim that third-party platforms process no data.

You control backup files in your chosen storage and Google Drive. The app does not create a separate publisher-hosted account. Contact mclaut@mclaut.com for support. Do not send your address book unless specifically agreed; normally a description and anonymized example are sufficient.

This website
The site is hosted by Firebase Hosting (Google). To deliver pages, Google receives technical HTTP request data such as the IP address and browser information. This site has no forms, advertising trackers or analytics scripts. It does not upload your address book.
